A couple weeks ago I posted a free coloring page and tied it into a coloring contest for Halloween. I was not only surprised to see the number of people that downloaded and passed the page along, but also to see how few people returned to share their fabulous coloring skills.

The upside to receiving only a few submissions, I didn’t have to make the tough decision of choosing a winner for the contest.. instead I get to thank the little artists that shared their coloring talent with us all- Fantastic Job!!

I’d like to share a special thanks to Jaden and Tiana for sharing their art with us!
They will both be receiving a special gift.

Throughout the year we can find heaps and piles of different culinary traditions around the world. Here in the grand U.S. of A we like to gobble up turkeys… but only with a spirit of celebration in November.

Combine that thought with comments from a few of my friends that like to joke about eating penguin, and the Glad I’m Not a Turkey penguin was born.

I’m pretty sure every bird on the planet is thankful they aren’t a turkey this time of year. The penguin… I don’t see any fabulous drumstick action going on, so I think he’s safe for a while.

Did you know? It is indeed peanut butter lover’s month, sponsored by the Peanut Advisory Board. I had no idea peanuts needed advising. I always forget which month is the peanut butter month because I love peanut butter all year long. If I loved peanut butter any more, I’d be jelly! I’m a fan of the creamy and I really like it on super soft white bread, but on warm waffles with syrup is pretty darn good too.

Happy Halloween!

This is a handmade pumpkin I created for a retail shop display. It’s fabric and paint and fake flower/leaf pieces. The lid comes off and there are little twinkle lights inside.

We woke up this morning to a path of bunny tracks leading all the way to our front door. I’m thinking our resident rabbit pal thought it would be fun to try to trick-or-treat a day early. Or maybe he was beggin’ to come inside and we just didn’t hear him knock.
