Today is Shrove Tuesday, the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday and the day after Shrove Monday. Shrove Tuesday is the day of great feasting and celebrating… eat delightful scrumptious-ness all day, day.
Tis’ true, today is Sprengidagur (Bursting) Day, Mardi Gras, Pancake Day , Carnival, and Fasching. It depends on where you are which is your day name of choice, but they’re all celebrating the same concept – party tonight for tomorrow Lent begins!
Just think, if we combined all the celebration traditions of the day, there would be piles of happiness filled with the yummy treats we’d eat all day… oh joy!
